'The River" Ministry Homeless Dinner: June 13th's service was extra special with Pastor Dom sharing the Word and Joe Wamsley singing worship with Karen Hackett. There were a great many volunteers from the First Reformed Church and other folks, gathering to give of their time to cook and serve the homeless that came together for dinner and worship. Continue to lift up this ministry located at the Reformed Church on the Green in Hackensack. Services are being held in the church before dinner. Men's items are in great need right now. Speak to Marlene Kilkenny for more details.
Valentines' Dinner and Dance: Love was definitely in the air! The Love of Christ, of course! We were so blessed as a body by all the new people who came out to enjoy a pasta dinner with some homemade sauces (cooked at home by real Italians) and our own "Marie's" meatballs and sausage! Everyone brought desserts to share! We had DJ Joey G. from our congregation provide the music, hoola hoop contests, electric slide and other fun games for the whole family! We were also blessed with good weather! God kept the snow away...well, for that night, at least!
MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND SERVICE: We honored our troops in our service with a special song and video. God bless our men and women who sacrafice so much to serve and protect us. Thank you also to all of our local heros! Our congregation is grateful to the present and retired police, firefighters, EMTs and pastors on the front line in our communities!
